Delmonico

June 6, 2013 (Day 27) – Delmonico

There’s a lot of history to the Delmonico name. A lot of it comes from our favorite city – NYC.

However, there’s even a little bit of history to the name in our hometown of Dodge City (or DCK as we’d call it if we’re pretending it’s more well known than it really is).

Delmonico’s was a well-known diner in historic Dodge City that was briefly revived in the mid 2000s before a lack of business shut it down, once more relegating it back to the history books in the Wickedest Little Town in the West.

We’re guessing this version is more to reflect New York’s historic restaurants rather than our’s.

  • 1 oz gin
  • 0.5 oz brandy
  • 0.5 oz sweet vermouth
  • 0.5 oz dry vermouth
  • 1 dash orange bitters bitters

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
