February 28, 2010 (Day 29) — Chocolate Vanilla Cream Dr. Pepper
As I mentioned in my post a couple weeks ago, I’m going to take a time out from alcohol-based cocktails every once in a while to feature a drink that is special, and dedicated specifically to those among you who either don’t drink, or aren’t old enough to do so! Tonight’s drink takes it’s basis from a local favorite at Sonic: The Chocolate Cherry Vanilla Cream Dr. Pepper.
- .5 oz vanilla syrup
- .5 oz grenadine
- .5 oz heavy cream
- 1 squeeze of chocolate syrup
- Top with Dr. Pepper
Pour all your extra ingredients into an Irish Coffee mug and mix together thoroughly. Top with Dr. Pepper then put ice until filled to the top. Put a straw in that bad boy and sip.
For my New England readers who don’t have easy access to a Sonic, this may help tide you over for at least a little bit until you can make the trek out to one. Just be warned, it’s good, but it’s way WAY sweet.
Happy end of the weekend! (And a kick-ass to the Silver winning USA hockey team!)
