November 24, 2011 (Day 240) — Cranberry Salad
Okay, so Thanksgiving posts are usually taken to talk about the things I’m thankful for and truthfully have no right to have. I have an amazing, intelligent, clever, attractive wife. My kid is on the honor roll and president of the local middle school. I have an amazing main job that let’s me work with farmers and people within agriculture who feed the world. I have a cool side job that let’s me write about booze. And surprisingly enough, people listen to me. I’m allowed to coach youth hockey, and stay heavily involved in the local theater. My immediate family is awesome, and my extended family is delightfully insane. Same goes for my in-laws. I’m not really sure how I lucked out, but I did. And I am truly thankful. So before I get any more teary-eyed, let’s give you one more cocktail to feast up on while devouring vittles (or if you’re like my friend Johanna, helping those who don’t have vittles to feast upon).
Cranberry Salad
- 3 oz Burnett’s Pineapple Vodka
- 4 oz cranberry juice
Combine ingredients in a rocks glass filled with ice. Stir well. Serve garnish with some fresh cranberries.
