Big Blue Mule

The Big Blue Mule takes your same basic Moscow Mule recipe and gives it a blast of fresh blueberries for a deep purple hue, and just a little bit more sweetness than the standard classic.

After Dark feat. Dodge City Distillery

This past show season, we at Cocktails, 365 were honored to be chosen as the bar manager for a new venture in a historic western Kansas town. You see, we’re in Dodge City, Kansas with writers in Chicago and Toronto. But, Dodge City is still Cocktails, 365’s home. There’s a beautiful jewel of metropolitan culture in […]

Hendrick’s Gin Part Two: French Gimlet

For today’s cocktail, we’re going to dig back into our archives to revisit one of our favorite fancy summer drinks. About two years ago, we talked about the French Gimlet, a play on the traditional Gimlet that was starting to find its way back into popularity after being relegated to the dusty back shelves of […]

Cosmic Limeade

Sonic, for my foreign readers, is one of the best fast food chains in the United States. Mainly because of its drink list. You have an almost unending number of flavors and mixtures to choose from (over 160,000 according to Sonic). In fact, their choices are so large, they even put a major marketing campaign around it. Not only that, for a long time the Dodge City Sonic (hometown sonic of Cocktails, 365) had the unique honor of being the busiest Sonic in the world. I’m not sure if we still hold that title, but hey, we’re eager for accolades out in this area of the United States.

ORIGINAL — Storm Clouds

January 2, 2012 (Day 279) — Storm Clouds Today’s drink is a slightly altered Dark n’ Stormy; one of our favorite summer drinks to make. The coconut flavor of the black rum gives it some more complex notes, making it an excellent sipping drink. Storm Clouds 3 oz Malibu Black Rum 1 oz lime cordial […]

Purely Delicious

December 13, 2011 (Day 259) — Purely Delicious Creme de menthe, you cagey wench. You’re the menthol cigarette of the booze world. I’m not really sure what that means, other than to say that the use of creme de menthe can either make or completely destroy a cocktail. It’s all in how it’s used and […]

Pink Limeade

November 3, 2011 (Day 219) — Pink Limeade We told you that the snow would be gone by today. In fact, not only is the snow gone, the temps have picked back up and are heading back into fall territory. Fall territory for western Kansas is a lot like spring and summer temps in other areas […]

Bloody Harpoon

April 24, 2011 (Day 27) — Bloody Harpoon Happy Easter, everyone! It’s a family tradition that Easter means new books for everyone. My parents were voracious readers, and passed that along to my brothers and I. Now I’ve passed it along to my family. In honor of the day of books, let’s celebrate… oh… let’s […]
