Don’t celebrate this Cinco de Mayo by being one of those ignorantly racist jackasses who get shithammered on Corona and call it “Cinco de Drinko.” Seriously, it makes you look like an ass.
With the Tequila Mojito, you’ll be able to pair your cocktail with some honest-to-God Mexican cuisine and be culturally sensitive at the same time.
Tequila Mojito
- 2 oz Don Julio Blanco Tequila
- .5 oz homemade mint syrup
- Mint leaves
- 1/4 lime
- Tonic water to top
Combine the mint leaves, lime, and syrup in the bottom of a rocks glass. Muddle well, then top with the tequila and crushed ice. Top with tonic water and serve garnish with a lime wedge.
