We’re continuing this week with our series of Valentine’s Day cocktails using Epic Vodka Original and Epic Vodka Cherry. Yesterday we presented the One Shade of Grey – a deeply complex tea martini.
Today we’re adding some complexity, with a cocktail that’s a bit of a misnomer. You see, while absinthe is traditionally associated with the French, it was actually the Dutch who invented the green fairy. But who came here for a history lesson, really? (That’s in our other posts).
- 3 oz Epic Vodka Original
- .25 oz absinthe (use the real stuff, it’s worth the cost)
- 2 dashes Fireball Cinnamon Canadian Whisky
- Red hot hearts to garnish
Combine the vodka, absinthe, and fireball in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for a 10 count (or event a bit more to temper some of the bite of the absinthe) and then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with red hot hearts.
