One Shade of Grey

Yeah, we went with a lazy 50 Shades of Grey pun. Sorry. No one ever said we weren’t lazy here at Cocktails, 365. Ambitious, sure. Lazy, even more so.

This cocktail takes a bit of time and the right amount of balance, so be sure you’re paying attention to quantities while mixing, and not just throwing shit out there.

  • 3 oz Epic Vodka Original
  • .25 oz Earl Grey tea syrup
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon
  • Lemon wheel to garnish

Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for at least a 10 count and then double-strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel and serve.

Bonus Earl Grey tea syrup recipe

  • One cup cold filtered water
  • One cup white sugar
  • Five bags Earl Grey tea

Place just your water in a pot and let it come to a soft boil. Remove from the heat, place the tea bags in the water, and allow the five tea bags to steep at least 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags, pour the sugar into the pot and bring back to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to a simmer and simmer for 10 minutes or until the syrup thickens up.
