August 20, 2013 (Day 103) – Homestead
Sometimes the best cocktails are the simplest. There’s an honesty in these cocktails that allows each of the spirits’ abilities to shine through. However, that also means that the onus is on you as the bartender/mixologist/random-ass drunk guy at the party to make sure that you’re using high-enough quality ingredients that you’re not feeding your guests turpentine.
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
Combine the two ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and then stir well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
