May 19, 2013 (Day 10) – Savoy Hotel Rickey
This Sunday we head across the pond to build a Rickey created back in the late 1800s and named for the Savoy Hotel in London that started it all.
Now, all honesty this doesn’t come from the massively famous Savoy Hotel Cocktail book. This is actually the version that appears in the 1930s How to Mix Drinks book we’ve referenced in the past.
Savoy Hotel Rickey
- 3 oz gin
- 4 dashes grenadine
- Juice of 1/2 a lime
- Club soda
Fill a medium-sized Collins glass to the top with crushed ice. Add the ingredients and stir. Top with club soda. Garnish with a lime wheel.
