As we near the amateur hockey season (which is the highlight, as the NHL appears to be on its way to another lockout) you’ll forgive us if our minds turn to the ice and all that comes with the best sport on ice.
Or, if you ask us, it’s more the best sport ever.
So, our thoughts have turned to Midgets, Peewee, Mice.
And Bantam. (Bantam is an age group for youth hockey).
- 1.5 oz Laphroaig 10 Year Scotch
- 2 dashes Campari bitters
- Ginger beer to top
Combine the Laphroaig and Campari in the bottom of a rocks glass filled with ice. Stir well and then top with the ginger beer.
The Laphroaig lends its beautiful smokiness, but is made sweeter by the bitterness of the Campari. The Campari gives the drink a little bit of fruit that’s accented by the bite of the ginger beer. A nice drink as you start looking forward to chillier weather.
