This Saturday is St. Patrick’s Day, which is used by most people as an excuse to get hammered and offend Irish natives with broad sweeping stereotypes.

Now, we can lay no claim to any Irish heritage. However, we started a tradition at home where we make traditional Irish meals while drinking some Irish whiskey and beer.

As such, we’ll be looking at Bushmills Irish Whiskey,  a solid choice that falls within our parameters for a best-buy booze.

Nose:

Hints of honey and spiciness with a bright grain scent.

Neat:

There’s a distinct burn, with less sweetness than a bourbon. Still smooth.

On the Rocks:

Nice and smooth.
