January 4, 2012 (Day 281) — Coconut Rum Swizzle
We’re going to go ahead and up the complexity a bit for today’s cocktail. You’ll need a nice long list of ingredients for this one.
This is based of the classic rum swizzle, which is sure to be found in any number of books and websites that cater to us cocktail aficionados.
Coconut Rum Swizzle
- 2 oz Malibu Black
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- .75 oz pineapple juice
- .75 oz orange liqueur
- .25 oz lime cordial
- .25 oz grenadine
Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain into a chilled hurricane glass filled with crushed ice and serve with a fancy-dancy umbrella.
