December 16, 2011 (Day 262) — White Christmas
Everyone has their Christmas (or Holiday) traditions that they tend to be especially fond of.
One of mine has always been A Charlie Brown Christmas. In fact, while in high school I had to work a Christmas Eve shift at the video store where I was employed. We had a series of TVs across the store that all played the same thing from a tape player hooked up behind the front desk. This particular shift myself and the other guy working the crap shift decided to see how many times we could play A Charlie Brown Christmas before we had to close the doors. At midnight.
It turns out you can get well over four dozen plays. And it’s a good way to wear out a VHS tape.
Our executive editor, Jenn, used to watch White Christmas — a movie that I had never seen until we started dating.
Now, much like A Charlie Brown Christmas, White Christmas gets into the rotation. On DVD now and not a beat up old VHS tape. But, tradition is tradition.
