Chocolate L’Orange

December 6, 2011 (Day 252) — Chocoalte L’Orange

We’re facing a cold snap at Cocktails, 365 HQ which means that we’re going to need something to warm us from the bones outwards. Now, we’ve done a lot of coffee-based cocktails. However, maybe you’re not a big fan of the rich black liquid. To you, I say “What the hell is wrong with you.” But I also say to you “I don’t understand you.” But, I’m still willing to help a brotha (sista) out with some delicious cocktails.

Now, a big part of Christmas for my family growing up was the chocolate orange that you would smack the shit out of and then eat the little pieces.

Chocolate L’Orange

• 3 oz Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon
• 1.5 oz Grand Monarch
• Hot chocolate to top

Combine the ingredients in an Irish coffee mug and serve.

This has a powerful orange and chocolate flavor, bolstered by the Evan Williams on the back.
