Honey Pie

November 15, 2011 (Day 231) — Honey Pie

The Beatles formed a pivotal role in my musical tastes and developments as a kid. My mom used to listen to Abby Road, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, and The White Album on a regular basis on vinyl. Now, I hear those songs and I realize how much I’ve come to associate them with my future musical tastes. And despite some people’s claims that they’re overrated, I support they are one of the true wonders of the world.

This piles on the honey, combines with pumpkin pie, and makes…

Honey Pie

  • 1.5 oz Fulton’s Harvest Pumpkin Pie Cream Liqueur
  • 1 oz Evan Williams Honey Reserve
  • .25 oz Barenjager honey liqueur

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with ground cinnamon.

While similar to last night’s drink, it’s much sweeter with a distinct honey flavor. The nice spices of cinnamon and clove come up on the end. Keep this on the burner for a nice Thanksgiving dessert cocktail.

Cheers!
