ORIGINAL — Kanza

November 9, 2011 (Day 225) — Kanza

Quick history lesson.

Kansas (my home state and the home base of Cocktails, 365) is named after the Kanza indian tribe. This cocktail really has nothing to do with the Kanzas. Which is a shame, really, because it’s part of the state’s history. It just seemed like a good name for this cocktail. God, I’m a horrible person.

Kanza

  • 3 oz Evan Williams Honey Reserve
  • 1 oz single malt scotch
  • 1 tiny dash of Chambord raspberry liqueur

Combine the ingredients in a rocks glass filled with ice and stir well. Serve with a heaping side of white man’s guilt.

Bright, sweet, and just a bit of raspberry.

Love it.

Cheers!
