December 2, 2011 (Day 248) — Mojito Peppermint Fizz

We’re looking at some snow sweeping in this weekend to greet visitors for Dodge City’s first-ever hockey tournament. If you haven’t got your Christmas decorations up, this weekend is as good a time as any! We already got ours up during the uncharacteristically warm weather last week so we get to avoid all the craziness that’s going on outside right now.

Mojito Peppermint Fizz

• 2 oz white rum
• 1 oz lime cordial
• 2 tablespoons peppermint schnapps
• Moscato to top

Combine ingredients except moscato in a cocktail shaker. Shake well and then strain into a martini glass. Pour moscato over the top. Serve.

Sweet, with a little bit of citrus and a nice cool peppermint flavor.
