October 27, 2011 (Dat 212) — Caramel Apple
Okay, I’m actually excited to use the Hiram Walker Caramel Apple liqueur as part of a shot. It’s actually pretty damn versatile liqueur, so I would imagine it would be perfectly suited for complex flavors in a quick burst. Our only concern really comes with the addition of the butterscotch schnapps, which as we’ve mentioned before, has a very powerful sweetness to it.
But what’s life without some risks, eh?
Caramel Apple
- 1/2 part Monarch Butterscotch Schnapps
- 1/2 part Hiram Walker Caramel Apple Liqueur
Combine the (chilled) ingredients in a chilled shot glass. Serve up.
Very sweet, very autumnal. It’s an excellent Halloween (or even Thanksgiving) shot. For a little bit of variation, add a little bit of hazelnut liqueur to the shotglass and you’ve got yourself a caramel apple covered in nuts.
Cheers!
