October 25, 2011 (Day 210) — Luftwaffe

This week is shots. Why? Because I’m on vacation.

Yes, I’ve written plenty about my personal beef with shots. They truthfully only exist to get you drunk as fast as you can. And that’s not why you drink, or at least that shouldn’t be why you drink. However, I’ve had some good friends start to open

Luftwaffe is the generic German term for an air force.

However, it’s more often associated with the Luftwaffe of World War II. Which, to me, truthfully, makes me nervous about the nature of this shot.

Maybe it wasn’t the best choice to start off a week of shots. I’m not big on the whole “genocide” thing.

Luftwaffe

• 1/3 part chocolate syrup
• 1/3 part herbal liqueur (such as Jagermeister or HARLEM)
• 1/3 part butterscotch schnapps

Layer the chocolate, then herbal liqueur, then the butterscotch schnapps. Take it down. Fast.

Hmmm… Well… Yeah.. It tastes like toothpaste. After eating chocolate. Not great…
