September 9, 2011 (Day 164) — Sweet September

One of my exes was obsessed for a long time with the Keanu Reeves/Charlize Theron vehicle “Sweet November.” No real point to that story, just thought I’d mention that that movies is where the name of this cocktail comes from.

The inspiration of countless cocktails (and art)

Sweet September

• 2 oz Burnett’s Whipped Cream Vodka
• 1 oz butterscotch schnapps (we use Hiram Walker)
• .5 oz light cream (or half and half)

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with crushed ice. Shake vigorously until foamy. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Very sweet and heavy, but it’s perfect for a fall day. An excellent dessert drink.
