September 5, 2011 (Day 160) — Tropical Whipt’
As we mentioned in the review, we’re going to start easing in to some more autumnal cocktails. This will start the slow conversion over tonight.
- 2 oz Burnett’s Whipped Cream Vodka
- 1 oz coconut rum
- 2 oz pineapple juice
Combine the ingredients in a rocks glass filled with ice.
Heavy. Heavy, heavy, heavy. This sounds very tropical, and it is. But that’s right on the borderline of too sweet for me. So, you sweet cocktail fans, this one is for you. For the rest of us, it’s just a bit too syrupy. Toss this in to a highball glass and add some tonic, though, and you’ve got a killer beach-side cocktail.
