I’m on the road today, tonight’s update will be a quick one.

This is one of the first cocktails I ever mixed — nice, basic, but tasty. It’s a good way to dip your toe into the cocktail arena.

Dreamsicle

• 2 oz Absolut Vanilia
• Orange juice to top

Combine the ingredients in a collins glass filled with ice. Stir well and serve with an orange wheel.

This is a beautifully smooth cocktail. Obviously, it’s a take off on the traditional brunch drink the Screwdriver. That means that, indeed, this is a perfect brunch cocktail to serve next time you’re entertaining. The sweetness of the vanilla goes perfect with a heavier brunch, such as bacon with french toast.
