July 18, 2011 (Day 112) — Burning Passion

Consider this drink a stretch-over from last week’s cocktail. We’re using last week’s featured booze to help bolster the power of the Fireball Whisky. It’s a way to dip your toes into the cinnamon whisky world. Because trust me, things are going to get more intense from here on out.

There’s a good chance there’s going to be some somewhat… sexual… undertones this week. Fireball just kind of lends itself to that.

Burning Passion

• 2 oz Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
• 1 oz Phillips Union Vanilla Whiskey
• 2 oz cola

Combine the ingredients in a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Stir gently and then serve.

The first taste is of the Phillips Union Vanilla Whiskey and its distinct sweetness, then the Fireball comes up on the back and smacks you on the ass and calls you its bitch. You really don’t get much from the cola other than a bit of color and a bit of carbonation. Delicious, smooth, but with a bit of a bite on the end.
