June 24, 2011 (Day 88) — Brandy Daisy
It’s topping 100 degrees today around western Kansas, so we’re desperately going to need something just a little bit lighter than what we’ve been drinking.
Let’s cool down this Friday evening with something a bit more tempered.
Brandy Daisy
- 2 oz brandy
- 2 dashes dark rum
- 2-3 dashes orange curacao liqueur
- 3-4 dashes simple syrup
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- soda water
Pour all the ingredients except the soda water into a cocktail shaker filled with crushed ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and then top with the soda water.
This is a lighter drink, but still has the heaviness of the brandy lingering on the end.
Cheers!
This sounds like a perfect drink to end a hot summer day. I will be trying this soon.
We think you’ll enjoy it. Thanks for reading!
