Paris, TX

June 1, 2011 (Day 65) — Paris, TX

It’s fact time!

Paris, Texas is a city located 98 miles northeast of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex in Lamar County, Texas.

As of the 2010 census, roughly 26,000 people lived in Paris.

It’s also the hometown of Rob Van Winkle.

Look familiar?

It’s also the hometown of David Fielding.

Look familiar?

It’s also the name of tonight’s cocktail, taken from Tito’s official website and designed by mixologist Damon Boelte.

Paris, TX

  • 2 oz Tito’s Handmade Vodka
  • 1 oz dry vermouth
  • 1 oz yellow chartreuse

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled rocks glass filled with ice.

Drinks like this make me think of relaxing in large, leather wingback chair while puffing on a pipe.

Sophisticated, low-key but also delicious.
