April 24, 2011 (Day 27) — Bloody Harpoon
Happy Easter, everyone!
It’s a family tradition that Easter means new books for everyone. My parents were voracious readers, and passed that along to my brothers and I. Now I’ve passed it along to my family. In honor of the day of books, let’s celebrate… oh… let’s say… Moby Dick.
Bloody Harpoon
- 2 oz bourbon
- .5 oz Triple Sec
- .25 oz Roses lime juice
- Dash of cranberry juice
- Slice of lime for garnish
Combine the ingredients in a chilled rocks glass filled with crushed ice and stir well. Serve.
This is a brief little tipple so you can enjoy your evening with loved ones.
Well balanced with a bit of citrus and smooth bourbon base.
Cheers!

Why oh Why didn’t I see this yesterday? We were at such a nice Easter brunch, a very nice location that we regularly frequent. I asked for the special drink they had prepared for Easter, and they had nothing. No Mimosas. No sparkly Easter cocktail. Now I will have your recipe so I won’t be left unprepared. : )
