The Gotham

The Gotham is one of New York City’s most well-known comedy clubs, featuring big names on the stand up comedy scene such as Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, and Larry David.

For the final drink in the New Amsterdam Gin week, we decided to take the classic gin and tonic and give it a bit more of a modern twist in honor of this great comedy club in Old New York.

The Gotham

• 2 oz New Amsterdam Gin

• 1 oz lime cordial

• Ginger ale to top

• Lime wedge to garnish

Combine your liquid ingredients in a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Stir gently, then garnish with the lime wedge. Serve while still bubbly.

A smoother, sweeter version of the traditional gin and tonic. There’s a distinct tartness from the lime cordial, but the sweeter notes of the New Amsterdam are more pronounced.
