I’ve finally got my hands on some Bulleit Rye.


Good spicy nose, with a little bit of a vanilla tinge on the end.


Excellent neat. You have the distinct spice of the rye right up front, but it cools out to a smoother vanilla taste on the end. There’s the distinct taste of the rye grain that you get from a good-quality rye whiskey. Very smooth finish with no grain alcohol aftertaste. Exceptionally smooth neat.

On the rocks:

Even smoother. You lose some of the spice of that I love about rye, but it is infinitely sippable.  Great strong start and smooth finish on the end.
