Garbo Cocktail

January 27, 2011 (Day 362) — Garbo Cocktail

Greta Garbo was a hottie.

A classical hottie. She was originally a silent film star, but was one of the few who made the switch over to talkies. And the cocktail that’s named after her seems bizarre and I always enjoy challenges.

Garbo Cocktail

1 oz brandy

1 oz dry vermouth

1 oz orange juice

1/4 oz grenadine

dash of white crème de menthe

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake well and then strain into a highball glass filled with ice.

Wow. That IS strange, but it’s also strangely good. It’s the crisp mint on the end adds a nice coolness to the harshness of the rest of the drink. I really like it.

Cheers!
