November 30, 2010 (Day 304) — Sloe Tequila
I’m a fan of things that don’t seem like they’d go together. Sometimes you end up with some of the most amazing taste sensations around.
So, naturally, I was intrigued when I saw a recipe for the Sloe Tequila I was intrigued. What does a fruity liquor have in common with tequila? Well, quite a lot when you think about it I guess. It was just two ingredients I didn’t figure on seeing together in the same cocktail. Because while you do get some amazing mixtures (Resse’s), you get others that are… less so.
So, how is the Sloe Tequila? First, the ingredients.
Sloe Tequila
2 oz tequila blanco
1 oz sloe gin
.5 oz lime juice
Pour all your ingredients in a rocks glass filled with ice then stir well and serve.
Not too bad. Interesting would be the best way to describe it. The fruitiness of the sloe gin mixes with the tequila pretty well. The citrus of the lime juice gives almost too much bite, however. It certainly looks festive though!
Cheers!
