November 25, 2010 (Day 299) — Pumpkin Patch
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Here’s hoping that you’re spending a wonderful day with those that you love!
I don’t imagine you’ll be hanging around my Website on Thanksgiving (unless, you know, you’re in another country), so we’ll make this is a nice little ditty for you to make with your friends and family while entertaining. Consider the Pumpkin Patch as “farewell” to the fall and a “Hello” to the winter season and the eventually wrapping up of Cocktails, 365. It’s been a wild and crazy trip over the past year, and don’t worry, we won’t be vanishing for good! We’ll keep you awesome people up to date with cocktails on a weekly basis after the year is done and over with.
But since it’s a holiday, why not make something a little bit special.
Enjoy it and say hi to your family for me!
Pumpkin Patch
2.5 oz aged rum
1 oz pineapple juice
.75 oz orange juice
.75 oz lemon juice
.5 oz spiced pumpkin pure
.5 oz molasses
Fill a cocktail shaker with all of your ingredients, and the fill the shaker with ice. Shake well for about a minute to make sure everything’s well mixed and then strain into a brandy snifter filled with ice.
Very tasty and fall-like. The molasses and pumpkin add a unique flavor. Tasty!
Happy Thanksgiving!
