November 23, 2010 (Day 297) — Modern English
There’s no way a piddly little fellow like me can compete with the big dogs like Liquor.com. But, they are great resources for entertaining and finding new ways to drink up your friends.
Since it’s fall, I was searching around for some good fall drinks and Liquor.com offered up the “Modern English.”
Modern English
2.5 oz gin
2 lemon wedges
.5 oz maple syrup
1/2 a pear
Muddle all the ingredients, except the gin. Add ice and the gin. Shake well and double strain into a Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with the cinnamon stick.
Very good taste. It has a nice mix of autumn flavors, while the gin adds an almost summer-like flavor. Delicioso!
Cheers!
