Pink Grape-a-nade

November 16, 2010 (Day 290) — Pink Grape-a-nade

Let day three of the “let’s-get-rid-of-the-360-vodka” commence! I think I’m finally getting the hang of this: take the lesser vodkas and mix them in a way that their odd or bizarre taste masks actually works to the BENEFIT of the drink. This means that I’ve got to play around with them a bit to get them to work.

Artist's rendering of me in my mixology lab.

This one using grape vodka is actually pretty decent. It’s a play off of a recipe suggested by 360 Vodka themselves.

Pink Grape-a-nade

1.5 oz Concord Grape vodka

4 oz Pink lemonade

Tonic water to top

In a hurricane glass, pour your vodka and lemonade and mix well. Add two or three ice cubes, then top with tonic water and serve.

Actually… this is pretty good. Tasted neat, the grape vodka tastes a bit like Dimatapp. But mixed with the tonic water and pink lemonade it takes on a different taste all together!  A taste that’s… really pretty solid. It’s definitely a summery drink. I could easily see sipping this on a tropical beach.

Cheers!
