Vampire’s Kiss

October 27, 2010 (Day 270) — Vampire’s Kiss

It’s Hump Day! It’s all down here until Halloween parties this Friday, Saturday and Sunday! So far we’re going strong with Halloween drinks, so let’s keep this train a rollin’, keep the train a-rollin’.

What’s a Halloween drink if not pretty, and featuring the popular colors of orange, black and red. Well, tonight’s doesn’t have any orange in it, but it does have some red and black. Hence, the Vampire’s Kiss.

1 oz cherry brandy

1/2 oz grenadine

cola

maraschino cherries for garnish

Coat the bottom of a rocks glass with grenadine. Put in your ice and brandy. Gently pour the cola over the top to create a nice two-layer look to the drink.

Nice, sweet taste. Very well balanced. As you drink, the ingredients will start to mix together so the flavor changes as you drink the cocktail. Interesting, but the presentation is what really sells it.

Beauty.

Cheers!
