Nuvo Pink Panther

October 9, 2010 (Day 252) — Pink Panther

I’m sure you guys are tired of me talking about the show that my wife’s in, but too bad! As long as I have a captive audience (literally, I have some peopled tied up in my living room now cycling through nothing but Cocktails, 365), I’m going to talk about it just a bit more. Another theater tradition is the opening night gift. Usually this is something such as flowers or chocolates. However, because my wife doesn’t like flowers and chocolates are cliche, I decided to get Jenn some liquor. Because who doesn’t love liquor!

And because it’s a romantic comedy, I figured something particularly girly would be fitting. I chose Nuvo Sparkling Vodka Liqueur.

It looks like a perfume bottle and boasts and bright pink color. Perfect. It also seems like the kind of liquor that’s right up my wife’s alley. Tasted neat or on the rocks, it has a very distinct herbal and floral taste to it. The carbonation adds a very cool little fizz on the end of it. Honestly, it reminds me of Hypnotiq, only pink and bubbly. Not a bad thing at all.

However, in order to make something a little stronger to gird your loins for a long run of shows, you’ve got to boost it. Which is why we’re making the Nuvo Pink Panther this fine evening.

Nuvo Pink Panther

1.5 oz vodka

5 oz Nuvo Sparkling Vodka Liqueur

In a rocks glass filled with ice, pour your ingredients and stir.

Very bright, but tasty. Most certainly a girl’s drink. In fact, I may recommend this for your next girl’s night out. Very good!

  1. I LOVE Nuvo! Tasted it at EPCOT a few years ago at the wine and food festival. Expensive but so so good!
