Jim Beam Smooth and Sour

June 24, 2010 (Day 145) — Jim Beam Smooth and Sour

It’s a beautiful day out, so let’s make something even and refreshing!

2 parts Jim Beam bourbon

1 part amaretto liqueur

1 part triple sec

2 parts sour mix

2 parts lemon-lime soda

Pour your liquors into a cocktail shaker and shake. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with the soda.

Very delicious. A nice, golden color and very well balanced. The sweetness of the bourbon and amaretto is offset by the citrus of the sour mix, triple sec and soda. Very potable. Almost TOO potable if you know what I mean.

(Thanks to the official Jim Beam Twitter account for hooking me up with this recipe. It originally called for Jim Beam Black, which unfortunately, I didn’t have on hand).

Cheers!
