February 10, 2010 (Day 11) — Beam Me Up

I’ve re-discovered the joys of bourbon after having taken a couple years hiatus from the drink. I’ve kind of stuck with scotch as of late, but with the start of my blog, it’s led me back to the drink that started my love affair for whiskey. And what better way to keep the train rolling than with a not-so-subtle reference to Star Trek?

I wasn’t able to find any Star Trek liquor bottles. But… holy shit…. is that a Star Trek menorah?!

I’ve got some photo-graphy to do tonight for the theater, so I’ll make it short and leave the crux of the humor on that picture.

Seriously? Seriously…

Beam me up, Scotty:

• 1 oz bourbon
• 1 oz amaretto
• Top with cola

Fill cocktail glass with ice. Add Jim Beam Bourbon and Amaretto. Then add cola and stir.

I got lazy tonight…. So sue me.

It’s quite good. Very sweet, with the bourbon and the amaretto. Most definitely recommend it. Beam me up!
