Blackberry Mud

April 29, 2010 (Day 89) — Blackberry Mud

It’s Thirsty Thursday! But, it’s been more than a while since I’ve had a non-alcoholic drink featured on Cocktails, 365, so I figured it was high time I fixed that.

Tonight’s drink is something I came up with on the spur of the moment. I had some leftover blackberries from when I made the Bloody Mule and Kolin needed a new drink. So, it only made sense. So here it is: the Blackberry Mud.

4 blackberries

1/2 oz Rose’s Lime Juice

1/2 oz Simple Syrup

Ginger ale

Muddle the blackberries in the lime juice and simple syrup in a rocks glass. Fill with ice, then top drink with ginger ale.

Very crisp, very refreshing. An excellent spring drink for kids who might want something special during your next BBQ.

Cheers!
